Banks Power Sidewinder Jeep Turbo System

You will finally be able to give your Jeep new life with the Sidewinder Turbo System for Jeeps that is made by Banks Power.  This system is easy to install and simply bolts on.  It has been designed to give you the utmost in terms of performance as well as the capability to crush rocks.  In fact, this system will transform your Jeep into a trail running, rock crushing, pavement eating monster.

With the Sidewinder in your rig, you will get an output of torque at 1600 RPM that is more than the peak amount of torque that your stock components can give you.  This aggressive profile for the torque is perfect for trail running and rock crawling applications.

The standard Sidewinder system will give you a PSI boost of 6.  If you want more power than that, you can always get the intercooler that is an optional accessory.  Also, Banks Power is planning to release an injection system of the water-methanol type very soon that will give you even more gains.

With this system, the Ram Air intake will be located with the same height that the stock intake had.  There is an optional Super Scoop available as well.  This will allow for the system to be able to pull in the denser, cooler air which then results in a system response and performance that is enhanced.  While the Super Scoop is highly recommended, it is not a requirement for the system to work properly. 

This turbo system is one that will be compatible with either the Monster Exhaust by Banks Power or the TorqueTube – another great Banks Power product.

There is also a double slip joint that enables proper fitment for the exhaust tube that you already have.  This ensures that you get a hold that is reliable right when and where you need it.

Banks Power Monster Exhaust

Why would you consider using an ill-fitting, cheap exhaust system on your rig?  The Monster Exhaust system that is made by Banks Power has been constructed from stainless steel that is long lasting and quite rugged.  It will give you a fit that is better than that of the competition too.  This is due to the fact that Banks Power makes this system to be able to reuse your factory installed hangers while it also maintains the proper clearance for each of the components under your rig.

Banks Power has been making improvements in air flow for close to 50 years now and as such, they have become masters at the art of getting the maximum amount of air flow while also getting the minimum amount of back pressure.  The Monster Exhaust system has a Monster Muffler that is polished stainless steel and is of the straight through variety.  The system also comes with the intermediate pipes that have been mandrel bent as well as a tailpipe that has also been mandrel bent.  These components allow for the exhaust flow to be nearly tripled while backpressure is cut by up to 98%.  There is also a rolled edge tip that measures 5 inches and is available in your choice of high temp black or chrome over stainless.  In order to assist in making it look good for a longer time, there is also an air gap that measures ½ of an inch that will keep the heat from being able to tarnish the finish.  All of this is topped off with a clamp that is adjustable which allows for you to be able to position the tip at the ideal place on the tail pipe.

Many mufflers of the straight through type will deliver a drone that is quite obnoxious.  This drone can actually make conversations near impossible.  The Monster muffler that is made by Banks Power has been sound tested extensively and has been designed with an expansion chamber that is quite unique.    It also features packing that is high temperature resistant.  This means that instead of that annoying drone, you get an exhaust note that is rich yet authoritative while still managing to be civil.  In other words, this system sounds just as great as it appears!
